Our Story - About Shruti
Hello!! My name is Shruti Kshatriya, and I’ve lived in North America for the past 10 years, spending time in both the U.S. and Canada. Currently, I’m based in San Ramon with my husband Sagar Bharadwaj, and our two kids. When I’m not working as a Program Manager at a digital agency, you’ll often find me traveling or practicing yoga.
In 2022, I started working on Desi Bandhan with a simple vision: to create a trusted space for Desis who are serious about marriage. Having seen how overwhelming (and often superficial) swipe-based apps can be, I wanted to build a community that prioritizes shared values, family, and meaningful connections.
Desi Bandhan is more than a platform — it’s a step toward helping our community find lasting companionship in a thoughtful, culturally rooted way.

Hello! I’m Mayuri Shukla, and I work in tech at Amazon. I’ve called the Bay Area home for over 16 years, and its diversity, energy, and innovation have shaped not only my career but also how I view the world.
My husband, Navin Dhiman, is a Technology Manager, and together we’re raising our two kids who attend school in San Ramon. As a family, we love to travel and explore new places—because every trip, big or small, leaves us with new stories, lessons, and memories.
I’m especially thrilled to be part of our new venture, Desi Bandhan—a platform designed to help people find their dream partners. They say marriages are made in heaven; we believe we help make them happen here on earth. Our mission is to foster genuine connections and create pathways to happy, fulfilling lives together.
